Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, His disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Immanuel Lutheran Church is our mission to share God’s Grace with the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Immanuel members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as greeting on Sundays at the church, to preparing the church bulletins and powerpoint slides.

Mission Outreach

Immanuel is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We also pray and support Groundwork Ministries Guatemala and Lutheran Bible Translators Botswana, Africa.

Music & Audio-Visual Arts

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in audio-visual. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. Please contact us if you are interested in being a part of our worship arts team.

Ushers/Greeters/Complimenters and Communion Assistants

The usher/greeter/complimenter team at Immanuel fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and offering warm compliments to members and visitors.  The usher/greeter/complimenter team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life. Elders and other trained men assist the pastor in the distribution of the Lord’s Supper. On the first Sundays of the month, our communion assistants take the consecrated elements to our home bound and nursing home members as a compassionate extension our our worship service. The communion assistance team is a servant-hearted group of men whose ministry is vital to Immanuel.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Immanuel Lutheran Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.  We also maintain an active Facebook for additional church communication. We are always looking for the right person to assist Immanuel in the media arts and to help us effectively communicate the Grace of Almighty God.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Immanuel Lutheran Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer. Each Sunday, before the morning service, a team of volunteers prays for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers, Prayer Warriors, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Please consider joining our Prayer Warrior team.

Children’s Sunday School

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Immanuel offers a children’s Sunday School at 9:45 am. We use  Concordia and other curriculum materials. We also prepared to partner with families and offer parenting resources via email.
